DescriptionI was a huge fan of what I suppose would be considered a "soft reboot" today, of the X-Men in 2001 to bring the team more in line with the look of the early X-Men movies. Terrific art by Quitely and some interesting concepts by Morrison. This cover has always felt iconic to me, so when it popped up midway though the first decade of those Wild West-like eBay art days of the 2000s, I jumped at it. Thanks, Bill.Social/Sharing |

Wow! This is iconic and a modern classic for sure! I'm sorry that I missed the the Wild Wild Naughts by a few years.

Whoa! Seeing this without the coloring is impressive in a completely new and different way. Definitely an iconic turning point in X-History. Thank you so much for sharing yet another classic piece!

Iconic image that bowled me over at the time and convinced me to take another chance on the X-Men years after I had stopped reading superhero books in favor of indie and alternative books. Thanks for posting this. Your collection could easily be a gallery exhibition of a very special period in comics publishing.

One of the modern age classics of our time and along with Ultimate Spider-Man, signalled a new age and a new jumping on point for new fans that were introduced to comics via the movies.

This issue to me represented the end of Image-style stories in my favorite Marvel comic, the X-Men

As everybody else noted, this cover is now a classic. I like how Quitely gets the characters to not only show off the (then) new costume designs, but also hints at the new attitude that he and Morrison were bringing to the book. Cheers!

Always wondered where that one was. Probably the best cover of that run, and what a run it was.

This really brings back memories, of both the Morrison run and my early days in CAF. Congratulations on owning such a great piece.

Oh man, I'm blown away. THE starter image for one of my favorite comic runs ever, let alone just X-men. Great pure illustration and inks, and I've always loved the teaser kind of "it's coming" vibe of this cover. Wow. Huge congrats!
