Greetings from the Baltimore Comic Con (9/24), Don Rosa kindly continued my art project again :-)
By drawing Scrooge's "Currency Market View" portraits, how old miser is thinking about our Fiat money.
Let's not forget that Scrooge is following currencies very carefully, of course ;-)
This art project started already in 2018 when I was thinking about a "holy triptych" from USD, EUR & JPY, but then extended the idea a bit when repeatedly visited again in BCCs.

As said, and illustrated now here, Scrooge's emotions are in line with market expectations: if you have Norwegian krones in your portfolio... you might have an issue, in the short term. Last 10+ years it has been the weakest currency in the west, as a big surprise for all. Is Scrooge closing his other eye due to that? Or is he blinking his eye? Once the country is having so massive energy and natural resources, and Oslo stock exchange has been over fifty folded in the past 40 years, then in the longer run NOK/USD -rate is not that worrying, after all natural resources matters more than Fiat money. This old miser knows it better than others ;-)

This drawing is done on A3 size paper (30 x 42 cm, 11.7 x 16.5 inches), so it is about twice the size of what normal convention sketches are done (typically in comic book backboards). Liquid gold marker is for sure the best one for this kind of artwork.

Always great when Rosa uses the gold on red to indicate fortune and luck in many countries. Scrooge knows his stuff and is confident here with a wink.
