DescriptionHow different is this? Groo is my all time favorite series - and this image is from the Card set from back in the day. That set featured a bunch of guest artists doing their rendition of the character. This is Simon Bisley's version. Just a really fun piece that takes the out of shape barbarian we all love and transforms him into a huge chiseled block of muscles. Check out the Sergio sketch from 1981 I posted in this same gallery.Social/Sharing |

Bisley Groo?! I LOVE Groo, and I love Bisley (his Lobo is like air. I need to breathe it in), and this is incredible. It's like the Yin Yang Groo, with the lighter, pudgy, cheese-dip-loving slasher vs this dark, ripped, skull-wearing cheese-dip-loving slasher. What a find. Big congrats!

Now that's an intimidating Groo! Biz was unstoppable in the nineties, great piece!

Very cool. If there was ever a perfect artist to do a realistic depiction of Groo, Biz is the guy!

Groo? Is that YOU? Wow, you look SO different from when we were in high school. You need to give me the name of your physical trainer! Like, right now!
Great piece man. Love Simon Bisley's hulked out Groo.

Oh, my goodness - this one had me laughing out loud. Hilariously wonderful depiction of Groo, and I like how Bisley flavored his work here with an Aragones-style “sketchiness”. Super cool, man!

Very cool! How great would it be to get Bisley to draw and issue with Sergio.

I like the grittiness, and I like the choice to make him as big and brawny as he did while still keeping the furthest part of the limbs smaller. Nice stylization :) Congrats, man!
