DescriptionLooking like he's battling the Rebels during a sandstorm on Tatooine. Oil on thick 11 x 14 illustration board. Roger painted the "Gone With The Wind" version (Style A) poster for Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Roger told me his contract (still in force, he thought) stipulated that he could only depict characters and events in The Empire Strikes Back. That's why there's no Jabba the Hutt or Slave Leia art by Roger. Roger had been invited to those Star Wars Celebration conventions but thought the contract was so restrictive that it wasn't worth attending. So, to all those artists that are able to make a couple bucks drawing Star Wars characters, consider yourselves lucky. Boba Fett was created by George Lucas, Ralph McQuarrie and Joe Johnston. It's made to look like parchment, like on an ancient scroll. It looks like a work of legend.
