This is insanely good! The way Guy Davis mixes his media is masterful.

Great use of the rough backgrounds that made the central characters stand out more, but very much trapped by the circumstances. The imagery for this series' covers and pin ups always made it look from its time and combined different mediums that Davis put together for striking effect.

Sandman has been a very cool character ever since he first appeared in Adventure Comics #40 and the 1939 New York World's Fair Comic.

Outstanding! I need to revisit this book. One of the best from Vertigo's golden age.
