DescriptionWhen I got this page, I actually thought it was drawn by John Buscema...since John had drawn SS pages for Cosmic Powers Unlimited issues #2 & #3, I naturally thought he had also drawn this page for issue #1.I threw it in my bins and check marked that I had a Buscema SS page and moved on. My mistake hurt me, because I passed on several John Buscema SS page opportunities, thinking I was good. A few years ago when I was sorting through my bins, I double checked the comic issue, and discovered that this page is drawn by Scott Benefiel. I should have known better that $175 for a SS page is way too low for John Buscema...regardless of when you get it. I wasn't happy at the time...but, having said that, I am still very happy with the imagery on this page. We really get to see the omnipotence and bond between Galactus and Silver Surfer, in the beginning of their existence. Such power and grace. Overall, Scott did a great job on this page. He deserves a ton of credit. I love his over the shoulder perspective and even the way he shaped his 3 panels on top of the splash. Social/Sharing |

really nice close up of the big G and the silver surfer as he ascends on to an unsuspecting planet.

Top three panels are like a crown for this majestic splash! Great lean forward by the Surfer to see if his master is pleased.

Well, the fact that the art looks absolutely nothing like John Buscema's work aside, I hope the years have made it more palatable for you to look at this, Jordan, because it's still a mighty great Galactus/Surfer piece! I'll buy THAT for $175!

Wow. That possibly could be a one and done for me when it comes to Silver Surfer and Galactus. The imagery is incredibly powerful. Congrats and a half for what you have and as mighty python would say, "Always look on the bright side of life."

Love when these two are drawn well on a page. You can feel their presence.

Never seen Galactus depicted as standing in the clouds before. Great imagery!

What a cool page! I love when you see a shot of Surfer up close to Galactus, to really accentuate his sheer size. And that top/right panel is awesome. So good.
