I lost out on this at the ComicLink Auction last month. I know Ben's stuff can get expensive, but this is a small pencil sketch and I wasn't willing to go that high on it. It shot past my bid pretty quick, but ended up going for not much more than I had been willing to pay. I couldn't get it out of my head after losing, so when it popped up on Ebay the other day, I made an offer for pretty much what the auction winner paid. I know I overpaid, but I'm also pretty ok with that. Such is the curse of this hobby.

You should never feel you've 'overpaid' for anything that brings you enjoyment - and this applies particularly to Ben's stuff, I feel! His original pieces are hard to come by, especially on eBay, and this one is an absolute cracker - so, many congratulations to you for snapping it up (before I did!). Money's there to be spent, Christian - 'You can't take it with you', as the saying goes...

Great to see this back on CAF. I absoluely ahbor any comic art buyer who turns around and immediately tries to flip pieces. Sounds like this will be staying in your collecton!

Not a fan of flipping, but at the same time I never mind getting a second chance at something as good as this. It's out getting framed now and then won't be going anywhere but up on my wall for a good long time.
