DescriptionThis is the first painting to come to auction from the Richard Corben Estate. And what a painting it is! Corben's paintings have very rarely turned up for sale before his passing in 2020.This painting was one of the main two theater poster images for the movie Heavy Metal, and was also used in the 1981 Heavy Metal Poster book from Pace Minerva Posters. The painting was used again in 1987 for the cover of a collection of Den's serialized adventures (from Heavy Metal and Metal Hurlant) published in Germany by Markt Erlback. Social/Sharing |
