Oh, man - this one's SO great. Anytime you have a hero reflected in the eyes of a fly (who is also a hero), you know your story is AIRTIGHT. Love all the orbs in play here: Guy's Green Lantern logo in the upper left of panel 1, leading you into the curve of the palm that then rounds out the planet in panel two, which pops down into the eyes of panel 3... Great, FUN layout, culminating in the group shot in the final panel (love the texture of the ground there). Super page.
(Poor Bzzd. RIP.)

Wow. You have really brought to my attention a few details as to why this page is so wonderful that previously escaped me! Thank you! Patrick Gleason is a master story-teller and when he gives us a death scene like this, he knows just how to impact the reader. Indeed, poor Bzzd.

Totally, man - great page! Hey, if you liked all the orbs, betcha didn't notice MJOLNIR pointing at the viewer (as though it was standing on its handle) in-between Guy and the dark-haired Lantern at the bottom of the last panel... ;)

That is TOTALLY Mjolnir! As a Lantern! Lol!
It's funny. I did notice it, but my nerdy mind wouldn't accept it since this is in a DC page. I gotta open my mind more! Lol!

Pat's work on GLC was fantastic. All the Aliens looked so diverse and believable! Great page!

Agreed. Pat's world-building with his designs and art in general made the universe of GLC come alive in a way I wasn't used to.
Thank you for the comment!

Thank you! Pat originally didn't want to let it go, but he was nice enough to sell it to me. I was elated when he finally said yes to selling.
Thanks for the comment, Zac!

Pat certainly knows how to frame emotional scenes such as the fall of a comrade. That final panel just stops me and punctuates the loss felt by the GLC. "Arresting" indeed.
Thank you so much for the comment!

Thanks, Mike! One of my favorites too. Still can't believe I own this. Pat was reluctant to sell, so it is an honor to have this in my collection.
