What a masterful magical Mera by such a legend.

I love your write up for this so much. Clear passion for this hobby, Bryan Hitch artwork, history- inspiring for me. I particularly appreciate your last few paragraphs. Isn't Bill such a solid guy?

The brotherss!!
This is sleek. Thanks for sharing.
ForgetMeNot is one of my favorite X-Men of all time. SO much potential for storytelling.
Kurth's linework and thick inks make this a piece I will surely come back to.
Thank you for sharing!
Just WOW. Jae Lee's commission work is probably my favorite. He surprises and shocks with this work and this is a perfect example of it.
Thank you so much for sharing!
Gorgeous. Ariel does great work. I love the liberal inks here.
Thanks for sharing!
There are many of a great Spider-Gwen commishes out here on CAF, but this one is definitely up there among the best. I love her almost shy body language and the pink accenting the whole piece. Beautiful eyes. Fantastic piece overall.
Thanks for sharing, Bill!
Gosh I wish I knew. Whilce would have the connections. But I don't know if the artist goes to Marvel or if Marvel goes to the artist about something like this.
Beautiful work. Pelletier's lines are tight, classic, and dynamic in such a great comic book way.
This is so cool. Lee was able to capture the scary nature of the Skull PERFECTLY here. Love the coloring on this.

Amazing.

Portacio is such a beast. I loved his work on X-Men and Wetworks back in the 90s. But he has been consistently great over the decades and is a master today.
I love this page. His Batman is fantastic, and so is his Superman. Beautiful line work and inks. Thanks for sharing.
This is going down as one of the COOLEST comissions I've ever seen. I truly mean that. Portacio NAILS that mash-up of Wolverine with the Old West, two of my favorite things as well [I have a lot of favorite things ;) ].
The composition is on point with Logan's positioning, his duster flowing with the warm wind, his claws poppoed out, one fist pumped up, his head tilted in a way that says, "Say when." Then all of this badassery being threatened by the six-shooter trying to eclipse our protagonist from above.
Portacio's inks are so rich and add such a brooding flavor to this otherwise well lit setting of a small western town. I truly am in awe of this piece of work. It SHOULD be a cover and someone from Marvel needs to contact you about this right now.
I just picked up my own Portacio commission from him at a con last month and while I do absolutely love it, I have to say I am jealous of this piece and will certainly be back to view it for years to come.
Thank you so much for sharing this here with us. All the best.
This is kinda perfect, you know?
I love the shadowing and the cross-hatching on his cape to the right there.
Thank you so much for sharing this here with us!
Paul truly is one of the best comic artists out there. And I think his work on Hulk is among his absolute best. He seems to have been born to draw the character and extended family of supporting characters.
The dark heavier pencils here are rich and bold. I love the lines emanating from Bruce within his son Skaar's hair as he roars. Add in the two supporting female characters and this is a winner.

Spartan is downright scary here. Solid story-telling from Derenick. I love the inks here in particular.

The Drizzt Saga is one of my favorite fantasy tales. His stories were THE entertainment of my 20s. I don't know if he has ever looked cooler than he does in this piece. I can almost imagine those scimitars about to begin whirling.
Thanks for sharing this here on CAF!
I haven't read much Hellboy, but dug what little I've exposed myself to of the character. I am, however, a major Leinil Yu fanatic. And this commission of Hellboy by Yu is beautiful. I love how Yu emphasizes Hellboy's arm here, but that detail on his face is fantastic. The slant of Hellboy's upper lip is a nice touch in particular.

I love that her eyes are closed and her right hand rests on her chest there. She's thinking of something. Something tender and dear to her. I wonder what exactly that is.
Gorgeous work.
One of my favorite X-Men of all time. This is a great rendition of her. She wasn't always the calm type, but here she relatively seems as peace.
Pearson really was a master of lighting. As you say, Witchblade is SOOOOOOO HAWT here. What my eye ends up settling on is her hair. The ink work on there to display the lighting effects is killer.
This is the best Yu Wolverine commission on CAF or really anywhere. Inspiring work. Thanks for sharing, Paul.
COOL. His art has a Marc Silvestri feel here. Maybe I just really associate Sinister to Silvestri, though.

This is pretty cool! I especially love the touch of that diamond pendant she is wearing to represent Emma's ability beyond her mind powers.
BEAUTIFUL.
The various blacks from the deep to the lighter coloring are just so deftly used throughout this piece.

X-Men 70 is one of my favorite single issues of all time. Marrow, Bobby (if I'm not mistaken), Wolverine, and Dr. Cecilia Reyes on one page. I love it. Let me know if you ever want to part with this. But thanks for at least sharing it on CAF here.
Maggot is a personal favorite of mine. He had such a great, enigmatic intro. And I think he has a lot of potential that has still gone untapped.
Fun page!
I really liked the art on X-Factor during this era. Mystique is always a great focal character on any X-page. Solid work here.
I remember where I was, how high the sun was in the sky, how the air smelled when I read X-Men Vol 2 #85. And I remember how genuinely unsettled and frightened I was when I read this very page of the comic when Magneto really starts to lose it.
Very cool you own. Very jealous. I will certainly be back to look at this in your gallery. Thanks for sharing it here on CAF!
I love how busy this is while maintaining the clear story-telling quality.
You've got a lot of Mike Choi. THis may be my favorite of yours.
It's kind of disturbing in a cool way.
Jean Grey is one of my favorite X-Men and I have a soft spot for her outift in this New X-Men era. Randy Green's work is solid so this all spells awesome to me!
This is inspiring work. I love bearded-Kurt's expression and body language. The line work is rich yet restrained. Beautiful work.
Absolutely STUNN-ing. I agree with Marcus' comment above.
Now I have to dive into more of Felix Leonel's work. Thank you.
Oh, wow. I love her body language and especially how it accents her cute smile here. Butch is always great, isn't he?
