These large headsketches in books had nice quality to them as Neal Adams wanted to bring more iconic looks to match the classy book design.

If I remember getting correct, he had a small stack he did in advance of the show. They really did turn out so nice.

At a certain point, he figured out that he would be too busy with signatures at conventions, so a lot of these drawings were pre-done as Adams would have more time to do them.
