DescriptionSpidey gets zapped by the Mad-Thinkers anti-memory ray and has to rely on the assistance of some school-age kids to remember who he is. Here we see him figuring out how to reverse the rays effects and hoping it will do the trick.Once upon a time this collector was struggling with some subjects in school, the folks came up with an idea of enrolling me in an after school tutoring program called Sylvan Learning Centers. They had rewards for doing well and getting work done. One such reward was the comic book these pages were from, a Marvel/Sylvan partnership one-shot featuring the Amazing Spider-Man battling "Ignorance" (The Mad-Thinker). I still have my original copy. I was surprised to say the least when I saw these pages go up for sale. Alas I only ended up with half of them but I am still very pleased that I can add these to the "firmly nostalgic" part of my collection. Penciled and inked by Alan Kupperberg (a rare occurance) I enjoyed reading it over and over as a kid, the way he draws Spidey is clean and easy to digest. Social/Sharing |

Beautiful sentiment expressed on the page! It might have made the difference of a child who quits and one that won't give up learning.
