DescriptionThe Weapon X series was the first comic arc to attempt to give a partial origin story of Wolverine. The storyline ran within the pages of Marvel Comics Presents issues 72-84 and was brilliantly written and drawn by Barry Windsor-Smith. The story specifically describes the nightmarish non-consensual experiments that led to Wolverine’s adamantium skeleton and identity amnesia.In terms of its lingering effects through the entire X-Men franchise, it is one of the most important story arcs, and inspired multiple films and television episodes. When flipping through the pages of the series I noticed that there really weren't many images of Logan wearing the iconic helmet he was forced to wear while being held prisoner by the Weapon X project. Out of the 13 covers and 120 interior pages in the series only one cover and five interior pages feature the iconic helmet that just screams Weapon X. I feel very fortunate to own this particularly stunning example. Hope you all enjoy! Social/Sharing |

Definitive moment in Wolverine's history. They would not have entrusted this storyline in just anybody except the best.

I liked BWS during his Machine Man Limited series. Then came his Weapon X storyline and I was floored. This is the story where he became a must buy artist for me. This page has to be among the top five pages in whole run. You can mark get a grail level BWS piece off you list, this page checks that box! CONGRATS!!!

Holy cow. Unbelievable piece that would be unlikely to top in terms of pure art and it's historicness! Don't think the latter's a word, but I'll use it anyway as it absolutely applies! Can't be beat in terms of a Weapon X image. HUGE congrats!
