Description

Tommy was a local (well, Dallas) comic artist who used to be at shows *all* the time. He was really nice and very funny to hang out with. I remember he did a couple of album covers for the band Dangerous Toys, and he did an absolutely amazing Werewolf portfolio, but I couldn't for the life of me tell you what comic work he actually did. I have no idea if he's still in the biz or not. I had just read the TMNT trade paperbacks the night before the 1989 Houston comic convention where I commissioned this great piece - they were kind of on my mind at the time. Really, really fond of this one! An odd choice of characters given my usual selection of comic ladies, but I absolutely love this piece. Pencil on 11x14 Bristol.

That's one fancy "doodle", Tommy! If I remember correctly, you had a heckuva hangover when you drew it, so no wonder you don't recall it ;P Even though you don't remember, it's still one of my favorite "children" in my collection - thank you for drawing 'em for me!

Lol...There's a lesson in this somewhere kids...When out playing pool and drinking Heinekens , never listen to the DJ announcing 2 for 1 specials on White Russians and order 3 rounds.......uuuuuuuuggghhhhhh. Thanks again for posting this. It made me wonder what else I drew that day that I don't have any recollection of.....lol
