DescriptionInspired by F M’s ‘Doodle Week’, I wanted to assemble a similar assortment of con sketch confectionery, delicious doodles, and candied commissions to celebrate the holiday season here on CAF…. Sort of a festive, goody-laden, OA Advent calendar…. The 2022 ART-VENT CALENDAR!Day 5: By the Hoary Hosts of Hembeck! A Strange family portrait, to be sure, but charming nonetheless… “Always bet on Hembeck” - that’s my (Aga)motto! So very, very generously added to my (now complete!) ‘The Nearly Complete Essential Hembeck Archives Omnibus’ by the man himself. “Thank you” doesn’t even begin to cover it, Fred! Worthy add to the Art-vent Calendar 2022! Dig the expressions on each...and you just gotta love Dormammu. Love how you can slightly see the pencil circles Fred made to outline his eyes and mouth :) Congrats!

Fred Hembeck is one of my favourite cartoonists of all time and the king of FUN! His art always makes me smile and that's an important thing if you want to "stay young" as you continue to age! So Terrific!

I love your (Aga)motto. Haha! Man, this is just all kinds of fun. It really is artwork like this that will keep you young forever ... and also fill you with Holiday joy. Thanks for another awesome "Art-vent calendar" post!
