Description

When I started seeing Josh's work in the late 2000's, I was excited to get some. I love me some gritty heroic cross-hatch. I reached out to get a commission and was saddened to hear of his fight with cancer. I had the honor of playing a tiny role in raising some money in the auction organized by Dave. Josh lost the battle. It took me about 15 years, but I was finally able to give one of his best pieces a place of honor in my collection.

You may notice my gallery is now Sharon Memorial. She was my mother, and a great patron of the arts. She passed away in the Fall of cancer. Not the ripped out in his prime like Josh. She lived a pretty long and full life. She held many great pieces in her hands including this one before she left us. I think of them both every time I hold it.

Gorgeous crosshatching and details! Sad to lose such a great talent and I'm very sorry about your personal loss as well. Needless to say, cancer SUCKS

This was one of Josh's finest covers. I remember when I sold this one for him. I was jealous of the buyer getting this one, and so glad to see it here now. Huge congrats, bro! And yes, F**K Cancer!
