Description

Unfortunately, she wasn't one of the breakout stars of the Milestone 90s venture but I truly think Rocket was one of the best new characters of that era - from any company. Here, with her mentor and oftentimes debating partner, Icon, appear full splash after travelling across space via transwarp.

Bright had such a great feel for these characters - their poses show their personalities very clearly. One thing I loved about Rocket is how much she enjoyed have her power belt. Even in this scene, it's obvious she is making the most of the experience.

Bought this page in fall 2024 from Stevo's via eBay. Great transaction and packing, as always.

It takes the proper lessons from the grim and gritty era kicked off a decade earlier applied to the Milestone universe! Very fun dynamic to have the stodgy old mentor and rebellious young upstart!

I've yet to read that series, believe it or not (like 98% of first wave Milestone actually), but based on Doc Bright's art alone, I know I will enjoy the hell out of it. What a GREAT splash!

The original Milestone run was perfect comic book creativity. This is a great splash page and something like this is one of my holy grails. Congratulations!
