Description10 x 14Another piece highlighting the magnificence of Jaime Hernandez. After just being blown away after reading the first issue of "Do A Powerbomb" by DWJ, I figure we have to go to the source of wrestling comics. Jaime has an unmatched skill in relaying weight and force in all his illustrations. With wrestling, the degree of difficulty is significantly higher but he always manages to knock your socks off. Whoa Nellie! was a short 3-issue miniseries that Jaime worked on solo following the conclusion of the first volume of Love and Rockets. It follows a few characters that were a big part of the latter run in the first volume in Maggie's tia, Vicky Glory, Gina, and Xochitl. Over the moon to have this amazing cover. Social/Sharing |

Whoa, indeed!
Congrats on picking up this fabulous encapsulation of what made this series so great: dynamic action and characters you actually care about. Jaime really can do it all.

Glamorous Ladies Of Wrestling! Hernandez has great sense of action and ring command to show this big body drop with the right proportioned ladies made beautiful in motion.

G.L.O.W.! Yes! Forgot to include that nostalgic element that Jaime nails.

Great piece! I'm a sucker for figures with a lot of negative space on a black background, such a striking image.

Agreed, Tim. Love how this type of piece is eye catching from afar and then you appreciate it more as you get closer.

The composition on this is fantastic. Jaime is one of the few who can capture action and excitment without speed lines or blur effects and make them timlesss. A frozen moment if you will. Congrast on such a great example.
