Description11 x 15"MAGGIE THE MECHANIC OR PERLA THE PROSTITUTE" Happy to be able to get the title page to this story in the Chester Square storyline. Maggie is spending a lot more time with Penny Century as Hopey is gone. Love the design of the title panel. Penny is carefree as usual and great to see a new set of outfits for Jaime to draw. Amazing how he is always mixing it up while keeping the look a natural part of his narrative. The great sound effect lettering and layout of the cook looking on as the 3 ladies walk away in panel 4 is just fantastic. All in the same outfits and gait but clearly 3 distinct characters. Lot of sudden competition, Dan. Every win is a hard one.

The first one I won went way above norm. The shins one was almost on a whim because it was practically dollar Cost averaging down.
I'll post them soon, as you've inspired me.

Brilliant cartooning. Love the mirrored strides in panel 4 and the cross-eyed stare in the last panel. Some many gems sprinkled in every Jaime page. Now that you and Dan know you should take turns. :-)

Yeah, the leg cross in step is fine cartooning. Working girls like the opening of Laverne and Shirley... Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated!

So much great technique on display here. Spectacular linework, of course, but what really stands out for me is the lettering/typography. It's such a critical part of the overall page design and storytelling here: from that first panel to that great third panel.

Brilliant selection (and depiction!) of characters here, Jason, and having such a wicked example of Jamie's partially-off-panel sound effects is fantastic (I don't think I had seen anyone do this before - not even Dave Sim...? - back in the day when I first picked up L&R). Absolutely sensational first panel (as you say). Another killer, Jason! Congrats!
