His choice of the red pencil gives such a cool effect. Nice pick up.

I've never heard of him, but he certainly produced a lovely piece here. I love the upshot lighting and as André says, I also dig the red pencil as it gives the piece a nice monochromatic look much like many of the monochromatic paintings tha twere used for story illustrations in magazines of the 1950's and 60's.

Yes: "Drawing from Charlotte from state of NC" --- tremendous lyricmongering here!
