DescriptionWith a new season of Futurama launching today (yes, you read that right), I thought it was only fitting to post this cover to issue #2 of Bongo's Futurama Comics by the talented Bill Morrison. This is definitely one of those pieces that if you told me I would own before I started collecting comic art, I wouldn't have believed you. As a die hard Matt Groening fan, these books along with the Simpson comics were ones that I always enjoyed coming across.Bill Morrison just absolutely nailed it here. This particular cover is such a fun composition. We have the main characters (not to mention the all knowing Nibbler!) all trapped in suspension and the grasp of the jello-esque space alien, H.G. Blob. H.G. stands for Huge Gelatinous if you were wondering. If only Brett could see his dad now! This cover is so true to character! Bender has made himself at home and is completely unbothered tipping a cold one back. Then you have the always motivated Leela attempting to put up a fight and escape. My absolute favorite though is Fry. He is hanging on for dear life as only Fry tends to do, to the logo itself. All parts come together wonderfully and make for a memorable cover from the series. I am also geeking out just seeing the actual Bongo template that Bill submitted for the cover. Huge thanks to Bill Morrison and everyone at 4C Comics (you too Eranga!) for the cover to this slimy second issue! Social/Sharing |

That's reaching far into the past! Bender will get them out of this as soon as he feels like it.
