Description

Batman gargoyle of Gotham issue #1 cover by the great David Finch! This is an upcoming series by Rafael Grampa launching Sept 2023 that I am very excited for. While I hope to get a Grampa cover eventually I was ECSTATIC to see Finch was returning to some work on DC with this cover! If Jim Lee is my 1a favorite artist Finch is def 1b. His run on n X-men messiah complex was one of my favorite x men and his original cover art to X-men 494 was my favorite piece of art I owned in my original art collecting days. David�s pencils and inks are amazing but I was also blow away at how good his painted work was as well and have been looking for one of him for about a year. The second I saw this image posted online I immediately did everything I could to get it. Just such an awesome piece with an awesome image of Batman that I think will define the tone of the new book. A big thanks to David Finch for taking the time to engage on it and Jason from essential sequential for helping me add this to my collection!

OMG! A David Finch painted cover! Haven't seen too many those except on his Instagram account. This is an absolutely stunning piece, with Batman clobbering some demon bloody. Incredibly impactful and terribly bloody. Great pick-up!
