DescriptionHad wanted a nice Gab cover since the second I got back into comic art. Even was the second high bidder on a few Spidey covers before switching to Batman as my main wants. A few have come up but just weren’t that grail piece I was looking for. No idea why it took me so long to just decide to go to the source. Knowing that Gab kept a lot of his favorites I decided to shoot over 10 or so of my more recent favorites of his. At the top of the list was this one and thankfully he still had it! Took a lot to pry it away but certainly glad I did. Gives a new meaning to the word striking. Just gorgeous all around!Social/Sharing |

Congrats ona very cool piece. The perspective and colors are wonderful as is the iconic Batman presentation.

Breathtaking! What a singularly gorgeous painting by Gabriele Dell'Otto! That it's also the cover to Detective Comics #1050 is just an added bonus! Love the way the Batman's outstretched cape curves around at the tips to match the Balman symbol. Has the Caped Crusader ever looked more majestic than this? I think not. Fantastic pick-up, congrats!
