DescriptionI really like how McNiven channels the Frank Miller Chris Claremont Wolverine Series as he creates this cover. Recently Marvel made a Paragon Collection of Chris Claremont work including an Omnibus, some new art prints, as well as a few compendium comics with new art and new stories. One of the books from Claremont is to be read along with the Wolverine series Frank Miller and Claremont did in the 1980s, this was the cover for the new comic with new art. This is over sized artwork as well.Social/Sharing |

Gorgeous with clean lines! I love how all the ninjas are inked in straight black to contrast them with the rest of the cover.

Wolvie at it again! Love the action in this one. Looks like a martial arts flick stuck in time. All we need is the "One Minute Later" version with Ninja body parts flying everywhere!

ha ha - Marvel/Disney would say that is too graphic for a cover these days for sure - black white and red color scheme

Great composition and of course McNiven's linework. I love his ability to pay tribute to an artist's style without completely losing his own.

Captures the magic of the mini series and is inspired by the same fire that made the original so iconic.

Such an amazing cover! It's so cool to see McNiven, a modern legends in the world of Wolvie, paying homage to Miller!

Awesome cover congratulations! The Paragon collection was very well done and this comic was one of the highligts for me.. I actually bought a handful of interiors to it.. but nothing to compare to this gem!

yeah I really liked the collection, I cant wait to see who they do next, I also was pretty happy with the prints that came as well. I had to grab this when I saw it I think I prefer it black and white and I am jealous of your pages.

for sure, such a fun idea on his part, I have also been a big fan of the Moon Knight covers he has been posting as well.

Absolutely gorgeous, Brian! Pitch perfect in capturing the feel of the Claremont / Miller mini, with the black ninjas framing the white figure of Wolverine in a circle of danger and action. Awesome work - what a beauty! Serious congrats!

You got that trademark McNiven detail along with a GREAT contrast brought on by the ninjas in black vs. Wolverine and the background. Definitely a feast for the eyes! Congrats!

Wow! Fabulous Wolverine cover by the amazing Steve McNiven! Love the composition of this cover with the Ninjas attacking Wolvie from seemingly every direction! Love the contrast of their black robes with Logan's lighter outfit! The whole battle seems almost choreographed like a dance! A dance of death. Congrats on a great pick-up!
