Nice page! My favorite part is a hairy Wolvie with just a face mask! Cracks me up.

I like the top margin where they crossed the title and issue number to show its significance in history. I would have to agree with Shooter that this would have been a cop out and lessened the impact of the storyline had they revived Jean Grey right there. This is very beautiful work and how Byrne shows everyone's concern is convincingly believable.

I thought Byrne's unfinished Death of Phoenix pages would never make it into the public, like Byrne's pencils to the unpublished Captain America issue gifted to Roger Stern, also I woulda thought Austin would've inked on an overlay to preserve such history, anyways, huge congrats!!

I remember seeing the artwork on CAF before finding out it was actually published somewhere (at which point, I promptly picked up the issue to read the original ending). I always loved this as an alternate history page (and kept missing it as it passed from collector to collector). Congrats!
