DescriptionSplash Page: Captain America 603 page 5 - Bucky UniformLuke Ross' amazing page during the Ed Brubaker run of Captian america. This page is spectaular and the inks are over blue lines; Butch Guice is amazing Issue recap: The Grand Director can only reminisce about how America has "lost its way" from time he lived in half a century ago. He is then interrupted by two Watchdog subordinates, who tell him that one of their recruits has shown the greatest endurance in their training regiment that they've ever seen. Hearing this, the Grand Director can guess who the recruit really is. He orders that the recruit, Bucky, be brought in with the others, for now he is part of his master plan. Meanwhile, ten miles out of Boise, Bucky and Falcon are taking down a truck filled with Watchdogs. However, the truck doesn't contain what they're looking for. They can guess that the group they tackled is a scouting group, probably wanting to check out the nearby military base. Bucky then makes the decision to go back to the Watchdogs to figure out their plan. He spends the entire day undercover, until nightfall, where he sneaks into the Director's cabin, only to find that an impostor in his place. Realizing that the 1950s Cap is after Falcon, Bucky attempts to flee, only to run into the whole Watchdog brigade. At the moment, Falcon is fleeing the Watchdogs and the Grand Director. As he attempts to take flight, he is shot at before the Director's shield knocks him down. Before the Director punches him out, he says that they aren't even here for him -- he's just the bonus. The Watchdog scientist then removes Falcon's flight harness before commenting that the vibranium its made of will be turned into a bomb. Social/Sharing |
