PERRY RHODAN-Novel #1 (Original Cover Art) - Johnny Bruck (* March 22, 1921; � October 6, 1995).

�Unternehmen Stardust� (Enterprise Stardust) was the first episode of the PERRY RHODAN science fiction pulp-series, published first on September 5, 1961. It is still the most popular SF pulp-series in Germany with more than 3,200 edisodes and probably the most published one worldwide.

There are 5 printed editions and the artist Johnny Bruck (1921 - 1995) actually created 3 slightly different versions of the cover (1961, 1977, and 1982). It is probably the most recognized cover of German Science Fiction.

A stunning and iconic work by the greatest and most published German artist in the science fiction illustration field.

This original piece of art was created 1982 for the 5th printed edition. Gouache on B3 illustration board. Professionally framed for exhibitions in light oak frame and UV protection museum glass.

This artwork was on exhibition at the Germanic National Museum in Nuremberg, Germany (2023). I will also show it at the Verkehrshaus Lucerne, Switzerland in 2024. It will also be at my Special Gallery 'Legends of German Science Fiction Pulp Illustration' during OA EXPO 2025 in Orlando, US.

Great space planetscape and the compact space suits which is right out of imagination! A great mix of taking what's real and what was imagined in the retro sci-fi tale.
