An inside illustration with signature JO/ SHOT, Bruck used this pseudonym because he shot himself in the foot. Simply brilliant that you have it in your collection.

I think I have pieces with all his known pseudonyms in my collection including Bruck, Willis, JO, Crash, Shot, Plasterer and Pflasterer. As you rightfully point out, Crash, Plasterer and Pflasterer are related to various accidents.

Bruck was simply ingenious and demonstrated humor in the way he ironically handled his accidents in his signatures.
