DescriptionContinuing New Talent showcase, here is Andie Tong who has been around for several years drawing Spider-Man for Marvel UK and for other European books. Not so much known over here.Andie did X-Men #9 featuring the X-Men v. Avengers and he wanted to go with a little Phoenix foreshadowing. Kind of a big departure from the actual story but I kind of like it. Social/Sharing |

The ONLY way the X-Men could defeat the Avengers is with Phoenix being brought in. Great work by Tong!

Still, very cool piece. I actually like the different spin Andie put on the OML concept.

The X-Men, other than with Phoenix, have never had any real powerhouses. Their strongest member has always been Colossus, and he's certainly not in Hulk/Thor/Hercules class. Maybe now that they've got him walking around in a Juggernaut helmet (which looks incredibly silly). Name any actual X-Men line-up, I can pick an Avengers team to beat it.

Cool idea and a great piece! I think this is the first time Ive seen Jean as Phoenix in the original Marvel Girl costume.

The one minute later cover comes out of left field, but very cool. I am a sucker for a good Phoenix cover.
