I never get to go to Heroes Con. Their tradition of always holding the show on Father�s Day weekend, which often coincides with my birthday, makes it hard for this father of four to get away for this great show.

This was one of those years where my birthday fell on Heroes weekend. Bummed I was missing out again, I felt like treating myself to a birthday present. So, I asked my pal, Ken Martin, to swing by Jesse�s table to see what he had in his portfolios.

As always, there were tons of brilliantly creative pieces to be had. This one was the cream of the crop though, IMHO, thanks to the contrast of Sue�s negative space bubble and the chaos of the lines and tones surrounding it.

But my favorite part of the story is Ken ended up getting hooked on Jesse�s work as he flipped through the portfolio for me. He bought two pieces for himself and is determined to add more in the future.

Great design work that puts Sue in the spotlight! A few little extra lines that go into the bubble allows for the sense of the space in the 3D sphere.

I think this is the most creative depiction of Sue's force field that I have ever encountered. Kudos to Jesse on this one.
