DescriptionEisner Award winning writer and artist, Tillie Walden, is well-known for her graphic novels dealing with life and relationships. This is, I believe, one of her rare forays into the comic art world. She wrote and drew this story for the anthology, Wonder Woman Black and Gold (in celebration of Wonder Woman's 80th Anniversary).The story is entitled "Homecoming" and, in spite of the absence of text, it is self-explanatory. It is very well drawn and the detail is amazingly evocative (in part, because it was drawn in a slightly different (smaller) format which facilitated more intricate detail). Again, although I love and grew up with Silver Age artwork, I have found that stretching my horizons allows me to enjoy this hobby even more. This is page 3 of the story. Social/Sharing |
