DescriptionBeen a fan of Travis since his run on Wildcats Vol. 2 in 1999. I had seen his prior work and brushed him off as one of the many Jim Lee clones of the time, but then he made one of the most dramatic changes in art style I had ever seen in comics (aside from maybe Chris Bachalo), and I couldn't help but take notice. His insanely detailed paintwork was unlike anything out there, and this became his signature style instantly recognizable to any longtime comic book fan.So when I learned he was opening up a commission list, I jumped at the opportunity immediately. I sent my request on 1/19/23 and began my patient wait. More than two years later, on 6/22/25, Travis reached out and told me it was finally my turn, and on 6/27/25 he sent me a scan of this beauty. OH. MY. GOD. That is all I have to say. He definitely did my girl Psylocke justice - and then some! This is now the jewel in my original art collection. Thank you Travis; your talent is unmatched! BTW, the kanji characters behind Psylocke are「忍者」or “ninja” in Japanese. Social/Sharing |

Congrats! This is a masterpiece.
Thought you'd appreciate this one! I saw Travis's stunning Lake Como sketch of our girl and quickly changed my character request to get his formal take on Jim Lee Psylocke. She's never looked better!

One of the best pieces from his long commission list. Congrats!

A very sharp line piece by Travis! It's like Pyslocke's surgical katana made the cuts. Very cool how the power effect obliterates anything resembling a hand.

A two year wait that pays off immensely. This is simply immaculate, detailed down to the smallest divident. Every finger rendered, every strand of hair accounted for. And that coloring is so well done it could be a CG model

This is so awesome man, I got on his list and asked for Psylocke, but at the time, he wasn't keen to do it. Supremely jealous of this - so if you ever tire of it, hit me up! haha, congrats!

Haha, I'll keep that in mind. Your Matteo Scalera Psylocke commission is equally impressive, especially since he doesn't do color commissions anymore!
