Description

Great opening splash page (page 1 of 15) for the 5th chapter ("The New Laird of Castle McDuck") of Don Rosa's classic series "The Life and Times of $crooge McDuck". Featuring the young Scrooge coming home to Scotland...wonderful depiction of Castle McDuck in the rain/storm and a (not so much) hidden homage to the great Carl Barks in the opening panel... :-)

Is that supposed to be a signed check of Barks? It's definitley a momento of the past one would want to keep in the scrapbook. Rosa's arwork is on another level and probably too much for the published comic paper stock to capture all the detail and nuance he has in this original.
