DescriptionMan-Thing by Kelly Williams.Pencil, Ink and Watercolors on Watercolor Paper. 9" x 12". This piece had an interesting journey, as the first time it arrived badly damaged/creased, but not to worry... Kelly did another and it came out fantastic. He also threw in an original piece (oversized sketch card ish size) as an "apology card", I assume for the extra wait/process which was unnecessary but super nice of him. You can see that piece in the additional image section of this piece. Thanks Kelly and Cadence! Social/Sharing |

Very nice representation of Marvel's muck monster. I like that he chose to do it in black and white with shades of gray, rather than the obvious green!

It is a lovely portrait showing the tender side of Man-Thing. Williams gives him a pliability and the flexibility that is firm but not too stiff. The branches, vines, and tendrils coarse throughout the Man-Thing who pulsates with power. The color work make it glisten in the dark, moist, and warm bayou.

Love how dark the piece is overall but how you can still make out a lot of the grey tones. Lots packed into a 9x12. And those red eyes really POP- super effective! And very nice of Kelly to throw in a the "apology" piece :) Congrats!

LOVE this piece, man! The choice made with the pop of color in the yes is a winner but I'm also partial how well the moonlight is reflected on the form. Congrats!

Beautiful commission Kavi. The lighting effect and the red eyes are a beautiful contrast!

All the "foliage" revealed by that soft moonlight reflection is so well done. And those eyes are perfect. What a cool commission. And that's some good customer service, too. Congrats!

Kavi, I love the bonus/apology piece! Oh and that Man-Thing piece, very cool. Dark and foreboding, suh-weet!

Awesome piece, Kavi! I will never tire of seeing artists' interpretations of Man-Thing; the tri-root design of the face is so unbelievably strong (and the inevitable swampy setting so fraught with artistic possibility) that it still captivates after all this time. Absolutely lovely piece - congrats!

Had to swing past for another gander and post another appreciation of this beautiful piece. Still completely enamored with the composition and execution of this one; it just feels like a still from a 50's monster movie. Love this! Congrats again, Kavi!
