Description

Now, I never read Vampirella ... not that my parents would have allowed it when this was first published. However, when I saw this page, it grabbed me. The skill and detail by Blasquez just pulled me in, including the reflection in the woman's eye. It's a slasher story, and I have a feeling that it doesn't end well! I'm going to have to go back and find out now!

In addition to the drawing itself, the overlays with color word balloons are actually creepy in themselves ... feels like blood.

Beautiful piece! The artwork is stunning! The thumbnail caught my eye and when i viewed the full size image i was blown away! Congrats!

I also never read Vampirella, but she had a wonderful series of Spanish artists who worked on her back in the 1970's, of which Blasquez was one and which this sumptuous page exemplifies.

I actually read Vampirella a hell of a lot since I bought my first issue off the newsstands back in 1973. Being that I was 10, I had to hide it between the Creepy's and Eerie's that I also bought and read. It ruined me----it's basically the only artwork I aggresively collect! BTW--nice page!
