I like the building crescendo that intensifies as you continue reading down the page until the horrible twist is finally revealed! Interesting too, that I've never heard of this artist until now. I can only assume he was one of those few select artists who broke into the America comics industry around this time, had a cup of coffee, and then left again. Nice stuff!

Gamboa was most active in the US comics scene between 1973 and 1977, during which he worked exclusively on DC’s horror anthology comics. He is crediting with penciling and/or inking 14 DC horror shorts in all.

What a twist! There's a skill to the horror look and pacing to wait until the last moment for the kicker so the grisly outcome would be off camera.
