Description

Mahdi Khene is an indie artist that just recently released his comic Bootleg Spider-Man. The mini comic is a humorous and satirical take on the iconic web slinger. I reached out to Mahdi to do a commission and the end result is a a very fun piece. BSM isn't about to fall for this trap set by Mysterio! I am a fan of Mahdi's style and this comes through in the piece and was exactly what I was looking for.

I am happy to have stumbled onto his work and the whole process was an absolute pleasure. Mahdi is very kind, and an artist worth checking out if you are into indie comics. He also has a great series called Steel Streets that is worth a look!

Ok, this is very cool. The Adventures of Space-Spider! It's like plopping Marvel characters into an EC scifi medium. A spider fish out of water. Heh s use of light source really adds to that impression, too. Honestly, I'd want to see this series in his energetic and gritty style. Thanks for the imaginative commission this AM, it's like a cup of coffee. Cheers!

Super-fun idea! Love this commission of Bootleg Spider-Man. The art is fun and fresh! Love Bootleg Mysterio as well! It's a crazy but cool idea and I'll be sure to check it out!
