Description

Really cool Ed Emshwiller cover prelim for Future Science Fiction - August 1958. Usually Emsh's final paintings are better than the prelims, but not in this case. Either he ran out of time, or the art editor said to use a white background, whichever is the case, the prelim with the dark blue and green sky is a much better looking image. At least in my opinion.

Bulky clad male.Check! Unfeasible, skin tight clad female. Check! Another real life, non sci fi disappointment is that female astonauts do not dress like this....Or course, this is set on another world. Fair game on scantily clad aliens. I watched enough Star Trek and cheesy sci fi to know that. ..Rambling again. Nice artwork.
