Back in the late 90's or so, the Emshwiller estate discovered a large box of Ed's prelims in their country cabin. If memory serves, there were between 300 and 400 science fiction prelims. At that time, my best friend Jerry Weist was repping the estate and I was able to acquire a large number of these wonderful prelims. I have had these for many years and I thought it worthwhile to show this archive to the collecting community. It provides a fascinating look behind the curtain to see the artist's process from initial inspiration to the final composition!
