Ed Emshwiller unused cover prelim for "The Great Explosion" by Eric Frank Russell. The title is written on the reverse side of the artwork and Pyramid Books chose the image below over this one. Paperback edition published by Pyramid Books in 1963.

That people mover with just the orbs underneath and the bubble top is more insteresting than the generic rocket launch cover.
