DescriptionOAX Pre-Show Commission!!!Eranga put in work on this one. All the little details from the little bubbles around the characters, the scales on the little fish, the wreckage in the background, the hatching in the shadows. That along with the powerful figures that have a definite 90's vibe make this a strong super hero battle. But also look at the technique. The layers of shading; black to gray to white. The wash to add depths to the water at the top and bottom of the image. There's a lot going on here and I love every bit of it. Eranga is also a pretty cool guy to have a beer with. Pen, ink and wash on 11x17 board. Social/Sharing |

What a great commission! Eranga killed this one! I've gotta confess, I didn't know much of anything about Stingray until I ended up next to you in Miller's Ale House enjoying food and drinks during OAX weekend, but now I know!

Love the pose that Eranga used and the amount of detail really submerges you. Wonderful composition as well. The fever of OAX Stingrays have started to arrive and they are beautiful! :)

Eranga killed it on this one and you can certainly tell he put in the time/work to deliver you a standout Stingray (and Tigershark) piece. If there's an OAX 2026 event held on the water next year such as an UBER VIP party on a Yacht before the VIP dinner (just spitballin' now) then this is certainly the #1 contendor for the event poster!
