CAL Spring 2025 Pickup!!!

The Hall I Spotlight, hosted by Matt Sardo and Jamie Jones, the minds behind IC3, brought the indie heat with four awesome creators who were tasked with creating an original piece of art LIVE during the panel!

One of those creators was Tony Sedani who drew a badass rendition of Hellboy! Tony was talking commissions so I reached out via his CAL booth during the panel to lock one in.

This feels like a one-minute-later commission! That big, bad shark, who shall remain nameless (JAWS) was going to chomp on that swimmer until Stingray dove in to save the day! I love the dynamic pose with the cape looking impressive and the fist rearing back! Everyone knows that a punch to the nose is the best way to repel a shark, so it's no surprise that the world's foremost oceanographer would spring into action, ready to deck that shark right in the schnoz.

Stingray, defender of schools of fishes! If the shark tries to bite you: Hit shark in the eyes and gills. Sensitive areas that can be hurt regardless of personal strength. Hit the shark on the snout and push away. Water-resistance weakens your punch.
