Description

Picked this page up a while back and thought I'd post it. A quiet moment right before the Fall of X where Jean is comforting Polaris after the death of Magneto. I loved this page because we had not seen Polaris much in the comics since the second Hellfire Gala, but this page really reinforced that once and X-man, always an X-man. I also loved the fact that it was a calm character building moment between two characters that have supported each other a lot throughout the years. As always, Cassara's original lines and inks are amazing.

This was a really great quiet moment and it's been a little surprising how few of those there were in this era. It came across really well that Jean and Lorna have known each other for a long time and the melancholy of this scene was beautifully rendered.

Fantastic character work from Cassara for these two earliest X-Women. Great moments in art!
