Description

An embarrassing story about this piece. I put a bid in on ComicLink and forgot about it. After the auction, I got an email telling me I had won. I was extremely happy because I thought it would be out of reach for me.

This particular piece is one of Joe's early works. I believe it's from 1998, based on the date I saw on the art.

The Hulk isn't drawn in Joe's current style, but he still looks absolutely fantastic to me.

The level of detail in the pencils is just mind-blowing. It's a massive double spread that was actually described as a Marvel Try-Out piece. It truly is a sight to behold. The way Joe has captured the transformation of Banner into the Incredible Hulk, with all those amazing Kirby Krackle effects, is just stunning.

Holy sh#t! Now that's a jade giant for your ass. A transformation piece on old Hulk doesn't come by much. Congrats on snagging this one!

Interesting to see how Joe's style has evolved. This is a great piece and must have been a nice bonus getting that email - like found money!
