DescriptionIn a thoughtful manga based heavily on original Dungeons and Dragons character archetypes, Frieren (pronounced Free-ren) is an ancient elf who has seen her human companions come and go with the decades. She clashes with her new apprentice due to their different perspectives about the passage of time. I've enjoyed watching the anime version with my kids and haven't seen much original art based on it, so this seemed like a good time to start some. This is also the first Mystery Sketch I've received in full color, and Moritat uses it well, filling the air with petals of the Blue-Moon weed (see episode two), signifying the transience of mortal life as Frieren ponders her next move. The worm's eye perspective emphasizes her power. Social/Sharing |

The colors have softness in them creating an animated cut scene look with the winds swirling behind her.
