DescriptionI'm a Batman fan, but not a Batman collector. My first introduction to MR. Freeze was the Toy Biz 1990 version action figure when I was 7 years old. The batman toys, movie, (and yes) the Adam West Batman show, is what I was a fan of. Then came Batman TAS. Mr. Freeze being my favorite Bat villain, I eagerly awaited an episode featuring him. I didn't have to wait too long as the episode "Heart of Ice" debuted early on in the series' run. What an episode it was and Mr. Freeze looked badass! Naturally I got the Mr. Freeze action figure from BTAS toyline. But I never got into the Batman comics. Spider-Man and X-Men filled in that void.Back in late Dec '22 I was at the comic shop and came across Batman One Bad day: Mr. Freeze on the shelf. The cover was so striking I had to flip through it. After the first few pages I realized I was seeing an incredible work of art by Matteo Scalera. Just incredible, then I flipped to this page. WOW! I was instantly transported back to my childhood watching "Heart of Ice" and playing with my BTAS' Mr. Freeze action figure. I bought the comic immediately. After reading it and going back to look at the pages again and again I started to get the itch that I would love to have an original piece of art from it. Specifically this page, it's an absolutely stunning page of Mr. Freeze. I was so happy to find this page and pick it up. Social/Sharing |

Thanks Steve! No, not my first original art purchase. I collect Spider-Man original art.

This is a great "money shot" of Freeze. Perfectly captures the BAS vibe but updates it. Scalera is a beast. Congrats!

Beautiful, moody shot of Mr. Freeze. I was surprised that this piece hung around as long as it did, but congrats on picking it up!
