I've been enjoying the the Energon universe. So many great moments DWJ and then Corona have pages filled with action and moving story.
Shockwave is running away and needs someone to stall Optimus Prime and the others. Enter Devestator! Can you hear the transformation sounds? Then are officially old :)

On a related note a few years ago I got to meet the voice of Devestator (and other 80s cartoon characters) Arthur Burghardt and got this print signed too.

great page, love that closeup look in the first panel, and all the detail packed into the scene in the middle panel. had to look at the colored/published version to make sure I caught everything...getting the cool hand drawn lettering for INTO DEVASTATOR!!! on a seperate board is a nice bonus too as that looks great on the final page and these days you just expect it all to be digital

Very cool way to show the transformation of the 5 combiners into Devastator! Up to this point of the story, this is the nuclear option of the Decepticons. I don't know if it's part of the DWJ script, but that's a very DWJ thing to do in the bottom tier.
