Thanks, Chaykin Dude! It looked Transformers related, but I had no recollection of the "three faces on a rocket ship". I was never more than a casual fan back in the 80's, so I only casually watched the series and even then maybe only during the first two seasons and I never saw the movie, though several collector friends were raving about it when the topic came up during one of my live streams, some of them saying that they even cried when Optimus died, which blew my mind.

I have to admit that I was one of those guys who got a bit weepy-eyed when Optimus died. Even more though, I couldn't get over the shock of seeing my favourite Saturday-morning cartoon hero bite the dust! I had no clue what I was in for that day when I walked into the theatre. I will also say that it's been great to see the resurgence in interest in Transformers this past couple of years with the work that DWJ has done.

Wow, another one who admits it! As I told the guys who were admitting that on my show, I was 16 when it came out, so I just have a hard time imagining someone my age crying over a cartoon character death. But of course, some of them were somewhat younger than I was and then there's a big difference between getting watery eyes or even tears running down the cheeks, and fill on crying where your chest is heaving and everyone around you can hear you. But the younger some one was when they watched it, obviously it's easier for me to imagine. Either way, I might have to watch the movie, even if for no other reason than to finally watch that scene and get a clearer picture as to whether it was as cry worthy as so many people have told me it was. And yes, it's definitely nice to see so much renewed attention on the Transformers again.

Just had to memorialize that this thread with Ruben was what lead to the Show & Tell episode. It was a tonne of fun and it all started with a discussion about your awesome Transformers art!

Hah! Thanks, Andrew, I had a ton of fun, too! As it turns out, Jason has also done a Show & Tell episode with me! But you guys should seriously connect to see if you can arrange a guest spot on one of Jason's, Carl's and Newell's Valiant show episodes!
