One for the Cthulhu Wing!

Murray Tinkelman's cover for the 1976 Ballantine pb of this 1958 collection of August Derleth "Lovecraftian" stories. (Derleth was much better when he wasn't aping HPL.)

About 13 x 18 inches. Much fine line work not terribly well captured in this photo, alas.

Thanks, Glynn! Yeah, the whole thing is woven out of tight pen and ink that's very hard to pick up on camera.
