Description

21”x27” (frame 28”x34”) Painted in 1995; purchased in 2002. I discovered Morcos' work in the late '90s and instantly became infatuated with his work. He became very well known in America for doing western art, but I would argue his "Egyptian-period," mid to late-90s, paintings are his best work. I became friends with his brother who ran a gallery in La Jolla and I sold some work for him on eBay when that platform was relatively new. This painting had been in the gallery for a bit and I was eventually able to buy it from him.
